A strong masculine jaw is the key to success in life. At least, that is what CNBC reported in 2015. They covered a report that found that ninety percent of Fortune 500 CEOs had a strong chin and face. Psychotherapist Daine Lang stated in the article, “We look at those jawlines as strength, as confidence. It makes them look more manly. More masculine.” As someone who wants to be rich and be the CEO of Microsoft or something I woill need a strong jawline. While I was wishing for the green, I stumbled upon a product that promised to make me look like Matt Rife without the need of plastic surgery or being an asshole. The product is Jawzrsize. This little chew toy promises this before and after picture on their website. Does this thing actually work, though? I see many videos of people who use it but already look like Chad. What about a morbidly obese twenty-nine-year-old man. Can I look like that? Well, I decided to try to be a guinea pig. I will be Jawzrsizing for sixty days.

[Jack Intro]

My challenge was simple. Do Jawzrsize every day for sixty days. I always take Sundays off, so in reality, I’ll do it did it for a total of fifty-two days. My hypothesis is that if I jawzersize every day there maybe a little bit of a change in my face. Maybe a thickness grown in the cheeks. The main benefit I expect would be a stronger jaw and an upward trend in the number of reps I can do. To better compare the first part of my hypothosis, I recorded my face before any Jawzrsize took place.

[Day 1 Face]

After getting that footage, I only needed to get the product. On the website, they offer many different products depending on your needs. You start off by choosing a two-pack or a four-pack. From there, you can choose from the different packages outlined specifically for beginners, ladies, and men. After researching, I decided to go with the Custom Fit Jawzrsize which I got for thirty dollars on amazon. This version includes moldable bite strips to protect your teeth kind of like a mouthguard. I was planning on doing this video back in April of 2022 and thus bought everything then. This specific product is no longer listed on the site or Amazon but alternatives such as the new pop-in-go do exist. They look to be pretty much the same except without the mouth guard. The custom fit Jawzrsize is a bit different in the fact that you have to boil them first to get the teeth mold correct.

[Making Jawzrsize]

The package I got came with a blue beginner unit and an intermediate green unit. The blue unit has a resistance level of twenty-five pounds and the green has a resistance level of thirty-five pounds. The box was super nice and premium, feeling like an Apple Product…. I definitely wished I had recorded an unboxing video. The box set came with two units, extra custom bite strips, a case I have in my hand, and a necklace to hold the Jawzrsize unit. Overall, everything was a premium feeling and lasted well to this day. It’s an incredibly well made product which it should be considering the thirty dollar price tag at the time.

For this challenge, I planned to switch from blue to green halfway to increase my jaw strength. I will record how long I did the exercise and the count using a tally counter during this time. All this will be fed into tables and statistics, which I will provide at the end. Stay for that, or you can skip around using the chapters below. I don’t really care either way.

As you can see from the background of me doing the exercise, the units are large and definitely a workout. My jaw was burning from day one, which didn’t stop the whole challenge. The necklaces were trash, so I kept them off. I have a rather big mouth, so I was worried about choking on the units and always kept my tongue behind them. If I were to describe the feeling, it’d be like chewing a big piece of gum you don’t swallow. I remember you would get those Hubba Bubba six-foot-of-gum things as a kid and just open it up and try to chew the whole thing? It’s exactly like that feeling.

Before you go out and try Jawzrsize, you should know that there are some risks. Fitness Editor and writer Tiffany Ayuda at Shape published a great article titled “Why You Shouldn’t Use Jawzrsize,” outlining the risk. The article states, “Using Jawzrsize and similar devices may cause teeth and jaw alignment issues, as well as temporomandibular joint disorders.” The article then explains talking to dentist Charles Sutera, who said, “The biggest risk with the concept of strengthening the jaw muscles is that it requires non-chewing force on the teeth. When force is applied at angles on the teeth, it can act as unintentional orthodontics. Over time, force applied to the mouth can lend itself to shifting of the teeth or changes in the bite position, which increases the risk of alignment issues…”. All this leads me to say to not Jawzrsize without consulting your dentist or doctor.

For myself, I took extra care of my teeth by increasing the nights I use my retainer. I use it probably twice weekly but upped it every night during this challenge to prevent any shifting. I wouldn’t attempt to do this challenge if you don’t have a retainer due to the risk. To prevent TMJ, I also took a few breaks during the challenges, as you can see in the video. I didn’t chew for the whole two minutes; otherwise, that would have caused some problems. These two precautions should prevent many of the side effects I researched, but again, talk to your dentist and doctors first if you can afford it.

With this warning out of the way and before I say my results, I wanted to know if there is any evidence of Jawzrsize working? A few did mention the positive benefits of specific devices like the Pao Device in training the jawline, but nothing for Jawzrsize. Anything that mentioned the device specifically was done and located on the Jawzrsize website. The study found a two-hundred and thirty-five percent increase in jaw Strength as an objective measurement. There are a bunch of other non-objective conclusions. Still, again, it’s a sponsored independent clinical study with only twenty subjects. A more robust study should be done to have a more definitive say.

Now’s the time for my results. Here is me after sixty days of using the Jawzrsize unit.

[Jawzrsize Ending]

To reiterate my feelings, no, there wasn’t any noticeable improvement in my jawline. Again, I am a nearly three-hundred-pound man whose wife would kill me if I shaved my beard. I didn’t expect much visual change. What I expected was a stronger Jaw, and I got that. I could chew gum for much longer than I had in the past. I saw a visible increase in how many squeezes I could do and how long I could go without pain. My jaw was stronger by far. Would I get results for doing this for longer periods? Probably yes, if I purchased the advanced unit as well to increase the force. I’m not sure how long the before and after pics are in the marketing on the Jawzrsize site. I’m not even sure if these are real in any way, but I do feel they are possibly achievable with weight loss and a timeframe of a few years.

With that conclusion, it’s time to get to the statistics. Overall, I said my jaw got stronger, which it did, as shown by the data. First, my chart contains the data from the past sixty days. This is also available on the Jack-Jenkins website if you want a closer look. Yes, I didn’t have the counter until a few days after I started the challenge. Only bought the units a year and a half before filming this video. With that in mind, I’ve ignored those days in the calculations. In total, I have done ten thousand six hundred and sixty-five squeezes. That brings me an average of two hundred and twenty-two squeezes per day. Here are two graphs showing my progress for the blue and green units. You can see an increase in the blue as my jaw grew stronger and an increase in the green with a bit of a dive at the end as my jaw grew tired.

So, guys, that is it for today’s review of Jawzrsize. If you like it, then please give me a big thumbs up. You can also thumb down the video, but that doesn’t do anything nowadays. While you are down there, please leave me a comment. I will do pretty much any legal challenge within the realm of self-improvement. Follow me on X and Instagram @truejackjenk.
