I Do YogaToes for 60 Days (ARE THEY WORTH IT!!!!!)

Script:

Do you have toe pain? Are your feet mangled up from wearing shoes all day? Well, you need… [Holds up items] These weird blue torcher devices. This is an item known as a YogaToes. These are apparently the number one doctor-recommended items to fix Claw, Mallet, and hammer toes. However, I don’t have any of those and just have toe cramps from years of wearing the wrong shoe size. I wore a size twelve for years until I got measured at a New Balance store, and it turns out I’m a size thirteen. Ops! Is this device still good for me? Well find out during this review.

[Introduction]

There will be a ton of footage of a fat man’s feet in this video. As I said in the intro, YogaToes are among Many different types of Toe Stretchers available in the marketplace today. These devices are created to help prevent foot pain issues from wearing shoes all day. You put your toes in these puppies and wear them for thirty minutes to an hour. They push against your toes to supposedly help issues. I am someone who does experience toe pain from wearing the wrong shoe size for years, so this sounds like something right up my alley.

Next to me are the before shots of my feet. They are not bad, but they can use some separation. Especially my pinky toe, which has to suffer the most from my feet being stuffed in there. I will say that overall, my feet really aren’t that bad. Yes, I wear the wrong size, but I work at home, baby. I wear shoes probably only fifteen hours out of the week, which is not bad at all. If you wear work shoes longer, you will probably have a worse case of different foot issues than me.

I learned this by looking up cheap ways to fix my toe issues. That led me down the rabbit hole of these toe stretching devices like this diamond and foam toe separators. That’s where I found Yoga Toes. These have the widest separators and can give me the best stretch. Got them from Amazon and put these puppies on like so. You can put them in water to slip them on easier, or you can just brute force your way in like I did in the video. The material is sticky and rubbery, like a harder version of those slapped hands. If you have carpet as I do, be warned you will get some carpet gunk on these.

With the before shots out of the way, here is the beginning and after of my first day of use.

[Day 1 Before and After]

Let me tell you that the pain on day one did not improve for a while. This puppy is a toe torture chamber. I couldn’t even have the Yoga Toes done because it hurt. I went with the Large as it’s set for twelve and up sizes. I don’t know If it was too big for me or if my toes are tighter than I thought. I am not the only one who complained about the pain, as almost every Amazon review mentioned it. The painfulness lasted until about day thirty. Speaking of, here is me during that time.

[Day 30]

Before we get into my personal results with YogaToes, I want to cover the science. Is there any evidence of Yoga Toes specifically helping anyone? No… not really. Checking their website, there are a bunch of dubious claims and quotes but no real research on them. For example, they have a blog that contains three posts from five years ago. They have claims from people like Dr. Harley Miltchin that are just on general foot care and then extrapolate that issue as something the product can fix. Honestly, this site screams of late-night infomercial trash products when really it shouldn’t.

When looking at foot separators in general, a few studies talk about the evidence of these products. One in particular from the International Journal of Environmental Research and public health located people with Hallux Valgus, a common foot deformity known as a Bunion. Those with a higher-than-normal angle were chosen to complete a few exercises, including toe separators. The study is linked in the description below. Still, the conclusion is as follows: “. . . toe separators (with or without exercise), dry needling, and manipulation (with or without ice treatment) might have advantages in improving the subjective feeling of patients with hallux valgus deformity. . . However, studies with high quality are still needed in the future”. Overall, It’s safe to conclude that these may or may not be bad for you. More studies need to be done to truly determine the helpfulness of this product. Until then ask your doctor.

My experience with Yoga Toes will be summarized here at the end of the sixty days.

[Day 60 till 47]

Here are my after pictures of my feet. Overall, my experience is mixed. On the one hand, I did have tight toes that could probably be stretched, but on the other hand, this device might have done them too much. My toes are pushed out to the left and right a bit more than they should be til this day. Again, I wanted to do the deepest stretch and found them with YogaToes. It could be that I picked the incorrect size even though Amazon said this is good for size tweleve and higher. It could be that maybe the gems ones would have worked better. However, the lack of any hard scientific research leads me to believe this product is not worth it in the end. I wouldn’t recommend anybody get these without first a review and approval of a doctor if you can afford one. If they say you have a bad case, such as the one the above study references, then by all means, get YogaToes. Otherwise, save forty dollars and get your foot measured by a professional. I know wearing the correct size shoe and socks have helped me big time, probably more than this product ever will.

So, guys, that is it for today’s video on YogaToes. If you have any more ideas on experiments you want me to do, please leave them below.
